Welcome to the world of African Textiles! I love African fabrics. I went on an amazing trip to Mali, West Africa in 2005. I went to Bamako to study African dance and drumming, then to Timbuktu and 40 miles into the Sahara desert for the Festival in the Desert concert. After that, I went to the Dogon territory that was pure magic.
What I love about Africa is the music, the fabric and all the beautiful women who wear them, starting as young girls Every where I went, I was on the snoop for beautiful African fabrics, of which I found many. My whole experience there was one of those eye-opening and life changing trips that you can never forget. The people there really look into your eyes. And despite all their hardships, which are many, they celebrate life with music and color…and smile.
